How do Tennis Court Construction Stages be sorted?
If tennis court construction stages are sorted in general; these are working field correction, substructure stage, surrounding wire construction, lighting assembly, tennis court synthetic ground application and it is finished with assembly of accessories.
Tennis court sizes are determined as 36m x 18 m if a standard one will be constructed. These are court sizes those were determined by the Federation.
However, in multi-sport fields, tennis court sizes to be made for amateur use in areas such as site, hotel or school, can vary according to available area. On that point, there will not be problem as long as sizes of game area where the ball bounces, do not change much. On the other hand, action area of tennis player was determined as approximately 6m in standard sizes, when tennis court is constructed, making that are much smaller will not provide a comfortable area for tennis player. In courts those do not match the standards, we suggest to leave a place for tennis plater minimum in 3m.
Tennis Court Construction Stages
1- Working Field Arrangement:
The land where tennis court will be constructed, should be cleaned and corrected by heavy equipment. On sloped land, if the slope is too much, retaining wall might be required and extracted excavation is removed from the field. The area where the court will be constructed, is determined by technicians with white lines and it is prepared.
2- Tennis Court Substructure Works:
Tennis court substructure can have small changes based whether it is indoor or outdoor court. For indoor tennis court construction, wide bonding concrete should be poured, for outdoor tennis court construction, anchors should be placed previously inside bonding concrete.
After bonding concrete is poured, by placing 5 cm stone ships filler in the field, it is fixed. Steel mesh is layered on that smooth area and C-20 concrete in 10-15 cm is poured on that. We also have asphalt ground application; on the field filled with plentmix filler, 5 cm thickness asphalt is applied and rolling is made. The holes where accessories will be assembled, are adjusted in that time.
3- Tennis Court Iron Construction:
On anchors those are placed in outdoor tennis courts, 76’3mm iron pipes are welded and then 60’2mm pipes are welded as 3 lines in parallel to the ground. Iron construction height is preferred as 4m in general.
For indoor tennis court construction, double truss columns are produced in our steel factory and they are assembled in the field, then, its roof is covered with 1000 denier non-fading canvas or PVC panel covering. By doing so, the most difficult ones of tennis court construction stages are finished.
4- PVC Covering Wire Fence Works:
The construction is covered with PVC covering wire fence with 4cmx4cm interocular distance, in 3,5m wire thickness in green color. Besides, two lines of steel rope application is made.
5- Tennis Court Lighting:
The court’s lighting is adjusted with approximately 8 pieces of 400W halide projectors. Except this standard application, you can ask prices of 200W LED projectors.
6- Synthetic Tennis Court Ground Application:
Synthetic court grounds are divided into three grounds such as artificial turf, acrylic and tartan grounds.
1- Artificial turf; we suggest artificial turf for the ones preferring natural grass appearance and flexibility. Silica sand filler is applied on synthetic turf in 20mm-30mm leg length layered on smooth concrete ground.
2- Acrylic tennis court construction is highly preferred, it is quicker and economical. It can be done in desired color with acrylic court paint.
3- Tartan tennis courts can be done as hot cast-in-place. In lower part, SBR granular and in upper part, tile red EPDM granular is used. It provides a flexible ground.
